Went to Malacca (a UNESCO recognized place in Malaysia, *proud*) on Tuesday, the 10th of May 2011.
Went there straight after the last final exam paper at 11.30am.
Without any hesitation, we went for the Famous Coconut Shake at Jalan Klebang first.
This is definitely awesome. Boyfie’s friend said that it is a something recent.
The red words there are “Klebang Original Coconut Shake”.
After that, went for a pretty late lunch (tea time to be exact) =)
At Nadeja, Dataran Pahlawan.
The Mocha flavour.
The Original flavour.
The taste they gave me was, quite special.
Can feel the different layering in it.
But a piece is kinda too much for a person (for me la).
Frankly speaking, I won’t go for a second time. Sorry.
This is C******* Soda.
Sorry I forgotten the name. But it was stated as the best seller in Nadeja.
This is the twist potato.
Don’t know if it can only be found in Malacca or not, but I don’t seem to see it in Klang.
Had this in Dataran Pahlawan as well.
Jonker street has it too but not sure which is nicer.
At night, Boyfie’s friend (David) was being friendly enough, he brought us for dinner and led us to walk around the Jonker area.
This is him. =)
We went for Nyonya dinner in a restaurant which I do not know what,
I only know that it was locate along the same row with the hotel we stayed, Fenix Inn.
Itik Tim.
It tasted similar to the Sichuan Soup in our place.
This is the Taufu.
Cooked almost similar to our style, Tauchu.
But their self-made taufu is definitely more winning.
This is the Otak-Otak.
I do not know if it really is nice cause I do not fancy this personally.
But the Boyfie said that it was real good. =)
This is Chap Chai.
Tasted to be normal for me. A little more credit than just “acceptable” .
Fried Fish.
It was quite fresh, and the chillie wasn’t really spicy.
Still okay for me. Moderate. =)
They serve Cendol as well.
Normal kind of cendol actually.
Nothing really special about it.
Went for this Melaka River Cruise after dinner.
RM 10/person if I’m not wrong. =)
There are a few stops, and our stop was Hentian Hang Jebat.
Basically the cruise brought us around one area along the river.
It was worth the 10 bucks actually, because I didn’t know that Malacca was so beautiful!
You can get to see quite an amount of mural paintings along the riverside.
They are pretty!
After that we went for a walk around the Jonker/Heeren area.
The night scene of that area was pretty amazing..
This is taken in the Casa Del Rio
(a new hotel actually. I believe that the rates are pretty pricey.)
Wondering where can get pretty flowers like this?
Here,
Yeap, no doubt. In this area =)
St.Francis Xavier.
I asked David if there was any reason why this church is so famous, and you know what he said?
Nothing special actually.
Just that, “Don’t you notice that the building is actually slanted?”
Yes indeed! I wouldn’t have notice that if he never tells! LOL
Nowhere else to visit, nothing else to eat after that.
(Most shops are closed at 5-6pm. When I say most, it’s almost all. LOL)
I seriously do not know why. =.=”
The place we stayed, Fenix Inn.
At around 10plus, Boyfie claimed that he was hungry.
So we went to the Portuguese Square for something.
They were practically closing by the time we reached there.
Luckily one/two stalls were still opened, so yeah =)
We ordered only the Fish.
It was just nice for two persons.
The next day, of course, we went and walked around the places that we have not visited.
Incase if this post bores you up, look at the picture below to entertain yourself then =))
This stall below is located along a small road,
he has been selling fruit juice for more than 30years.
Fruit juice? It has been long but nothing special..
The Baba Nyonya Peranakan! =)
We were not allowed to take pictures inside the house, so yeah.
Can you see a small hole there at the ceiling?
It was there specially for the people inside the house to see who’s by the door step from the second floor!
How awesome right?!
If you don’t like the person who’s by the doorstep,
simply pour water or urine(if you want) to that fella through the hole!!
HAHAHA
Famous Chicken Rice?
This is famous, but it’s not nice!
This is not as famous as the one on top but the chicken rice was seriously awesome!
so be sure! don’t get to the wrong one!! the taste was seriously different!
Rice. BALLS. =P
Walked around the Jonker street, and we found this,
EGGS!!
It’s Ice-Cream Egg!
The seller said that it is from KL but I never seem to see it in KL pun..
Cendol in Jonker 88,
this is the best seller, but it was just normal cendol for me. LOL
Durian Puff along the Jonker street! =)
It was so awesome!!! Very tasty for Durian lovers like me! =))
Went for this on the second night,
Wantan Mee!!
Dry Wantan Mee (thick type)
“Wet” Wantan Mee (thin type)
Compare the both, the thick ones is tastier! It is tasty! =))
Along the Jonker street as well,
There is this shop, which is inside the “Sam Suk Kong” shop.
Durian Cendol!
The taste of Durian isn’t thick enough, so…
Hmmm.
But no harm trying la since that it is the first and so called “tastiest” Durian Cendol in town.
Rojak and Cendol along the roadside.
It was moderate only la.
But it does attract an amount of customers!
Asked the receptionist in the Fenix Inn, and he recommended this particular cendol and rojak along the Jalan Bunga Raya.
Min Chong Rojak and Cendol.
Around 5pm on the 12th May 2011, we went for,
Capitol Satay Celup!
The varieties!
To be honest, Boyfie and I will not go there for a second time on purpose.
Sorry to say that!
Maybe we’ve expected a little too much I guess? =)
what I’ve learnt throughout this trip is that, I really love to spend good time together with the Boyfie. hehehe.
And another fact is that, I SERIOUSLY LOVE TO EAT. And only super yummy food can attracts me. LOL
:: regards ::
Rae
ps: Things happen for a reason. When you see someone smiling, laughing happily, it doesn’t mean that that someone is really happy. He/She might be sobbing in the inside.
pss: some people just like to think/do things their ways. they assume that “this” happens because of “that” without knowing the exact/true stuffs and then be chicken backside, talking stuffs which they THINK they know which they DO NOT really know. LOL at these kind of people. When only can grow up? SO PATHETIC!
psss: all and all, I’M A VERY HAPPY HAPPY GIRL! and I’m proud just being me. =)
pssss: You need me to fetch you on monday? text me the time and venue =))
